Contributors
The people who help — and how to join them.
EnglishToArabic.org is a small project. Pages are drafted, edited, and reviewed by a rotating group of contributors who include native speakers of several Arabic dialects, Arabic-as-a-second-language learners, and editors with backgrounds in linguistics and language pedagogy. As the site grows, contributors will be listed here by name, with the section or sections they have worked on.
If you would like to contribute, the most useful thing you can offer is region-specific knowledge. We are particularly looking for native speakers of dialects that are under-documented in English-language reference material — Maghrebi, Sudanese, Yemeni, Iraqi — who can review the relevant pages and flag where our descriptions are off. We are also looking for translators, calligraphers, and Arabic typography specialists who can sanity-check the visual side of the site.
Contribution can be as light as sending us a list of corrections after reading a page, or as substantial as drafting a page in collaboration with the editors. We don't pay contributors at the moment — the site has no revenue model beyond the modest income described on the editorial principles page — but contributors are credited on this page and on any pages they have substantially shaped.
